US stock futures slip into the red as Europe comes off highs-Check out the Dow Jones
The European stock markets are just now handing back some of their earlier gains ahead of the wider US market opening. That is seeing the US futures drop back into negative territory, but at this stage the losses are slight. The Dow Jones, which was once again the best performer on Wall Street, closed last night at 39,781. Earlier in the day the index had risen to a new record high at 39,889. Earlier today the Dow Jones was pricing a reopening around 39,850, but right now it is close to 39,750. There is no news based catalyst for the move lower and it could just be due to those European markets paring back their earlier gains
