Following the release of the latest New York Fed index the US futures have taken the positive from that weaker data, but they were higher anyway. So, the outlook for the opening in less than an hour from now remains positive. To remind the reader; all the US stock markets closed modestly lower yesterday, but they are set to bounce back today. The Dow Jones was the worst performer in percentage terms (-0.35%), but we are not talking about anything substantive here. The index closed at 38,905 and the futures are right now pricing the reopening at around 38,975, which is close to the top of the shop so far today
