US stock futures edge lower into the opening as the CAC 40 leads European losses
The US stock markets will shortly reopen for live trading and it is not looking so positive now. The earlier rebound noted in the Dow Jones, to above 39k has blown out over the past couple of hours and to be honest it was question here in the previous update. So, now that index is set kick off the new session below 38,800 shortly and it is not looking so good for the Nasdaq 100 either. That is about open potentially below 18k again and this all comes as stocks here in Europe are not far off their session lows. The weakest of the three majors in percentage terms remains the CAC 40 but neither the FTSE 100 or the DAX are much better off just now. The Yen is gaining ground again right now and not just versus the dollar. The CAC 40 is currently trading at 7,077
