US stock futures advance towards a higher opening-check out the Dow Jones

The US stock market futures are now making further headway into the opening in around 20 minutes. That outlook might change, but as things stand it would seem like a higher opening this afternoon is set to see the Dow Jones resume live trading at something above 34,600. The index closed last night at 34,517, with a loss of 106 points on the session. The current futures price is indicating a reopening at above 34,645. Now, whatever transpires this afternoon it will still have to wait for the Fed policy decision and subsequent press conference to see if this might amount to a higher close later this evening. We are also likely to see some quite sporadic price swings in final two hours of trading after the Fed. Meantime, the index future is on the front foot ahead of the opening
