US equity futures hovering modestly in the red ahead of US data- Dow Jones in focus

The three main US equity futures markets are still modestly in the red this afternoon with around 30 minutes to go before a whole load of US economic data is due to hit the screens, 12.30pm GMT. The European markets are mostly in the red too, but the DAX is bouncing just now and the exception to the rule. It is hard to gauge what impact the US GDP, PCE and jobless claims data might have on the US markets, as it is latent and mostly about Q1, but it could be significant, if there are any major surprises this close to the end of the month. The Dow Jones closed last night at 39,127, with a gain of 15 points on the session. The Dow Jones futures are currently pricing the opening at around 39,075
