US equity futures get another boost-this time from the Fed- check out the S+P 500 now
The comments from the US Fed governor Chris Waller have not been lost on the US stock futures. Of course they had gotten a boost earlier from the Reuters report on Iran, but had pared those gains as the dust settled. Well, the comments just now from Waller have served to push them all higher again and the S+P 500 is now priced to reopen close to the 6k marker now. Waller basically said the US jobs picture is deteriorating and the time is right for the Fed to think seriously about lowering rates in July. Waller has also said the Fed should look through any tariff impacts. Waller is a Fed voter and that is why the markets have taken notice of his dovish comments
