As the dust settles on the 1.30pm GMT US and Canadian data releases, the opening outlook for the US stock markets this afternoon is not exactly positive. The Dow Jones future is still in the red and at one point was pricing a reopening below 43,500. It is not far above that level right now and both the Nasdaq 100 and S+P 500 futures are in the red too. The S+P 500 is not getting any support from either index right now. The S+P 500 got a lift from the Nasdaq crossover last night and hence the index ignored another lower close on the Dow Jones. The S+P 500 closed 22.99 points higher, at 6,074.08. Well, it does not look like opening near that level right now. The current indication is for a opening bell price at, or even below 6,050
