United Health earnings in the spotlight for the Dow Jones futures shortly

At approximately 9.55am GMT the biggest Dow Jones component company will report their Q1 earnings. The markets are expecting United Health (UNH) to report EPS of $7.37 and revenue of $111.55 billion. Depending on what emerges here shortly it could impact the Dow. United Health is also a S+P 500 company (ranked 15 by weight) and so that index might react to this as well, but it is the Dow Jones that might figure most of all. The Dow Jones handed back 699 points by the close last night, when it ended 1.73% lower, at 39,669. The session low prior to that close was set at 39,394. The index future is pricing a higher opening this morning though and that is back above the 40k mark. It has been as high as 40,125 earlier. It is right now priced to reopen around 40,015 as we await those results from United Health
