The US Q3 earnings season gets more fully underway today following a dearth of reports yesterday owing to the US holiday. So, later this morning we get the two largest Dow Jones components reporting Q3 earnings. First up is the number one ranked component, United Health (UNH at 9.55am GMT) and then at 11.30am GMT we get the same from Goldman Sachs (GS- ranked no 2 in the index). In between times we get results from Johnson & Johnson (JNJ- at 10.20am). The forecast for UNH is for EPS of $7.01 and revenue of $99.28 billion. GS are forecast to deliver EPS of $6.93 and Q3 revenue of $11.67 billion. If you look across at all the US futures prices right now you will see that the Dow Jones futures are still leading the pack and of course these results could have an impact either way on that opening outlook, once these reports hit the screens. The Dow Jones is right now pricing a reopening at around 43,160
