As covered here on Friday afternoon, it was a higher opening for the Nasdaq 100, buoyed by all the recent tech earnings and more immediately by gains in Apple (APL). So, the Nasdaq 100 reopened at 21,661 (close on Thursday at 21,508) and rose to a session high, at 21,846. Initially the index did seem to brush off the US tariff news, but eventually pressure elsewhere and surely month-end profit taking got the better of it. The Nasdaq 100 fell back to hit a session low at 21,425. It laster closed at 21,478, with a loss of 30 points on the day. In fact, as far as all three major US indexes were concerned, it was an outside negative reversal for all of them on Friday and quite honestly that negative set of closes surely cannot be ignored this week? Furthermore, the Nasdaq 100 futures have taken a hit in Asian trading today. The opening call has been priced below 20,850 earlier. The Nasdaq 100 is right now priced to reopen around 20,950
