Well, the US stock market futures have gotten something of a rude awakening this afternoon ahead of the opening. The Nasdaq 100 was already under the hammer before the US inflation data hit the screens and now it has taken even more of a hit. The index is priced to open more than 300 points lower this afternoon, after what was a disappointing end to the session last night. The Nasdaq 100 closed at 17,882 and it is right now priced to reopen at around 17,580. Also the index future seems to be finally reacting to higher US treasury yields, which is something it has ignored for several sessions now. It remains to be seen if the index can recover once more when live trading resumes. Personally, I have my doubts, but we shall see
