This time the Dow Jones leads US gains as Fed looms

Yesterday the US stock markets all closed higher. This time though it was the Dow Jones which led the gains for a change. The index closed 0.83% higher and closed above 39k. The 320 point rise on the session led the index to a close at 39,110. To remind the reader; the current 2024 and record high remains in place at 39,282. That was set on February 23. Right now the Dow Jones futures are a little higher this morning and of course we have the important US monetary policy decision at 6pm GMT this evening. Quick news will be on hand to cover that event later today. The markets expect no change from the Fed this evening and much will depend on what statement accompanies the decision and then what the Fed boss has to say, when he addresses the press at 6.30pm GMT.
