Tesla leads the Nasdaq 100 to a record close- Futures higher this morning

As noted here earlier this morning, in relative terms, the Nasdaq 100 was the weakest of the three major US stock markets indexes on Friday. The index managed to gain just 0.07% by the close. Nevertheless, that was still a new record close for the Nasdaq 100, at 21,117. The index was helped to avoid a lower close by the more than 8% rise in Tesla (TSLA). That stock closed 8.19% higher on Friday and perhaps were it not for that, the Nasdaq 100 would have ended the week in the red. The outlook for the opening later today is positive though and right now the Nasdaq 100 is currently priced to open later on with yet more records. That might change over the next few hours, but right now the Nasdaq 100 is priced to reopen at around 21,190
