Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 recovered petty much all the losses seen on Friday, as it reversed all the way back above 20k and later posted its first ever daily close above that level. The index gained 199 points, when ending the US session at 20,011. The high on the session did fall just short of the record set last week (20,017), when it rose to 20,014. This time the driver for the move was not NVDA, because that stock actually closed lower by 1.31%. The standout performing single stock yesterday was Tesla (TSLA), which gained 10.20% on the back of news; that Q2 deliveries beat market estimates. Overnight the Asian markets have been mostly led higher by the Nikkei 225, but that has not delivered any gains in the Nasdaq 100 futures yet. Right now the index is priced for a slightly lower, or perhaps unchanged opening for later today
