Tech sees Nasdaq 100 lead US closes but futures slip today

Yesterday it was the Nasdaq 100 that led the US closes this time, rising by 1.54% on the day, compared to a 1.08% rise for the S+P 500 and just 0.32% for the Dow Jones. The Nasdaq was led by gains in Tesla, ASML and NVIDIA. The worst performing stock within the index? Yes, you guessed it; Crowdstrike (CRWD) got hammered again, closing 13.46% lower, at $263.91. That loss made no difference to the overall performance of the index though, as you can see. Once past the previous interim high set on Friday, at 19,784, the Nasdaq 100 held its momentum into the close, where it later ended the session at 19,822, with a gain of 300 points on the day.
