Tech sector under pressure ahead of US opening-check out the Nasdaq 100 futures

Right now amongst the US equity futures it is the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100 that is under the most pressure ahead of the opening in around 90 minutes. The reason for that is due to potential losses for the likes of Intel, AMD and Apple. Intel and AMD are under pressure (down over 2% in the premarket) following the ban on the use of their chips for any Chinese government tech. So, the Nasdaq 100, which was the only major US index to close higher on Friday, is now facing a lower opening today. The Nasdaq 100 closed just 19 points higher, at 18,339. The index is right now priced to open at around 18,240
