Surely the DAX will at least have a look below 20k today?
It has been an hour now since the European stock markets opened lower and that has seen the FTSE 100 struggle to make much progress above the 8,100. The DAX narrowly avoided an opening below the 20k mark though. The index officially resumed live trading at 20,032 and the low seen so far has been set at 20,021. The earlier push higher saw it reach 20,105, but it is tracking lower again just now and it seems unlikely this index will at least not have a look below the 20k handle at some point today. Of course that is not guaranteed, but given all that transpired since the close yesterday, it seems more likely than not right now. The index is currently trading at 20,040
