Stocks slide and dollar rises as Trump said to announce more tariffs today
The US stock markets have just taken another hit on breaking news just out. This comes from reports that Trump is to announce fresh trade tariffs as early as today. The EUR/USD has fallen below 1.0330 on the news and the GBP/USD has dropped below 1.2400. There is no further detail on this news at this stage, but as you can see the markets have reacted nervously to it. The US stock markets have fallen too and that has seen the S+P 500 move quickly to session lows a moment ago, approaching 6,030
