Stocks jump on ASML earnings- check out the DAX futures now

Yesterday the German DAX was the best performing major European stock market index. The DAX closed 0.70% higher, compared to a rise of 0.35% for the FTSE 100 and a loss of 0.12% for the CAC 40. The DAX reached a high yesterday at 21,475, before later closing 148 points higher, at 21,430. Well, since then the DAX futures were on the rebound after the European close, helped by the closing gains in the US. However, it just now got another lift from the Q4 earnings reports for the Dutch tech giant, ASML. They have just released blow-out Q4 earnings and that has lifted all the European and US futures. So, right now the DAX futures are above 21,500 and a little earlier were pricing a record opening above the current all time high, at 21,520. It is not far removed from that right now and as things currently stand we could be looking at fresh records for the German benchmark later this morning
