S+P 500 rebound forges on
As you know now, the rebound in the S+P 500 did not stop around 5,394, it extended much higher than that. The index rose to a session (and new rebound high) high at 5,436.50 and pretty much closed the session on that high too. The S+P gained 90 points on the day, closing at 5,434.43. So, it has surpassed the 50% corrective level of the 5,669-5,119 fall and looks to be heading to the next corrective level. That is at 5,459.41 (61.8%) and hence not far away now. Of course we could easily see that price point later today, but as with many other instruments right now, much could depend on what the US CPI data has to deliver ahead of the opening. Right now the S+P 500 futures are currently pricing a largely unchanged opening for this afternoon
