S+P 500 lifts in early trading as US data looms

The US stock markets are now open and very shortly we will see the US flash PMI readings, which are the equivalent of what was released from Europe earlier today. The S+P 500 closed at a record 6,118.71 last night. It has just kicked off live trading around that level, even as the European markets continue to back track from the records seen earlier in the likes of the DAX and the FTSE. The push a little higher in the S+P 500 could be added to, or detracted from by this US PMI data, which will very shortly break across the wires, at 2.45pm GMT. The S+P 500 is right now at 6,121
