S+P 500 futures slightly higher this morning

Yesterday the S+P 500 reached a session high at 5,651.62 and hence came close to the current record high, at 5,669.67. However, despite getting an early lift from the gains in the Dow Jones, eventually the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100 got the better of the S+P. The index subsequently fell back to hit a session low at 5,602.34. It did manage to edge off that low into the close, when it later ended the session at 5,616.84, with a loss of 17.77 points on the day. So, once again the index was not able to set a new record and all the while that remains the case, the outlook is a little uncertain.
