S+P 500 futures in the red this morning

As noted earlier the S+P 500 was the best performing major US stock market index on Thursday, when it managed to close slightly higher. The index ended the week with a very modest gain of 7 points on the season, at 5,282.70. However, unless anything dramatically changes between now and 1.30pm GMT, it is not going to resume live trading anywhere near that level. The index futures are right now not much above session lows, currently priced to reopen around 5,227. The rebound from the 2025 low, at 4,835 peaked at 5,481 on April 9, but it could not get above that high all last week and it could be; that whole correction is now going to give way to another deeper push on the downside this week? We shall see, but the early signs are not exactly positive today
