S+P 500 futures eying another record for later today
The Nasdaq 100 led the closing gains for the US stock markets last night, but the focus here is on the S+P 500, because right now that looks closer to breaking the record books later today. The index piled on 63.10 points by the close, ending the US session 1.04% higher, at 6,115.07. The high seen yesterday was set at 6,116.91. The reader is reminded of the all time record high set for the index, at 6,128.18. The combination of all the news covered here already led the S+P 500 close to that record and right now the S+P futures are pricing a higher opening for later on and one that is close to that record. The index is currently priced to reopen around 6,122
