S+P 500 futures eye a new record as Trump win is on the cards (corrected)

It is not 100% guaranteed that Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States, but right now it is pretty close to such an outcome. US stocks all closed higher last night anyway and since then the US futures have advanced further on this prospect. That is because Trump has vowed to slash corporation tax and of course he is decidedly pro-business anyway. Yesterday the S+P 500 closed 1.23% higher, at 5,782.76. Over the course of the evening and early morning the S+P futures have moved higher and they are on session highs right now. The reader is reminded of the current all time high for the index. That was set at 5,878.46 on October 17. The index is right now priced to reopen around 5,874 and if that is transposed into live trading later on, then a new all time high is beckoning later today
