S+P 500 futures continue to advance this morning
Yesterday there was some 30 S+P 500 companies reporting Q1 earnings and today there are even more. There are 35 S+P 500 components due to report before and after the closing bell tonight. The big name this morning is Boeing (BA) at 11am GMT. That company sure can have an impact, especially in view of all the latest news. After the closing bell this evening the other big name is IBM (IBM), due to report around 8.10pm GMT. Ahead of these two the S+P 500 futures have continued to advance this morning. Yesterday the index closed 2.51% higher, at 5,287.76. The index future is right now indicating a reopening close to the 5,400 handle. That is a price point it rejected last week, when it stalled just short of the level. Of course it is not just those two noted companies that might impact the index, but they will make the headlines one way or another.
