S+P 500 advances on the opening but new records yet

The US stock market opening has delivered a slightly higher opening for the Nasdaq 100 as tech stocks advance again. The index officially reopened just 2 points higher today, at 19,904. It is pushing up above 19,930 in early trading and that coupled with a gain in the Dow Jones right now, to above 38,900 has helped to lift the S+P 500 close to the record high it set yesterday, at 5,488.50. It has not gotten past that level yet, but it is close in early trading. Actually the Nasdaq 100 has just dropped back towards 19,900 as this update is concluded but the gains in the Dow are keeping the S+P on the front foot for the time being. The index is just now trading at 5,485
