Some analysts see Dollar index (USDX) gains extending towards 107 now
The break above 105.10 (former 2024 high) in the US dollar index (USDX) has not yet looked back. The index has extended its gains towards 105.50 this morning. Listening to some leading analysts over the past 24 hours, there is a call for this upside move to extend towards 107 now. That is not necessarily a wide spread view, but one that is nevertheless respected here. The USD/JPY is higher this morning once again, after a slight pullback yesterday and of course the EUR/USD is under pressure again this morning.
