SNB lowers rates more than expected by 0.50% -USD/CHF jumps
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) have just announced their final monetary policy decision of the year. The SNB have just lowered their OCR by 0.5%, from 1% to 0.5%. This was very much not the expected outcome across the markets. The USD/CHF was holding around the level of its 200 day moving average (0.8823) leading into the decision. It has jumped above 0.8875 and towards 0.8900 on this news
