A Seventh straight day of losses of the Dow Jones- will it be reversed later today?

On Friday the Dow Jones once again failed to hold a rebound. The index did reopen fractionally higher and that pushed above 44k. Unfortunately that was about the extend of if and the index then fell back from a high at 44,054, to a low at 43,790. It later closed in the red again, down 86 points, at 43,828. That loss came as the Nasdaq 100 managed to forge out yet another higher close. So, once again it was positive rotation into tech which seemed to get the better of the Dow Jones, for a seventh straight session. There will be more to add on the Nasdaq 100 a little later. Overnight the Dow Jones futures have actually risen slightly, despite losses across Asia this morning. Of course It is the final full week before Christmas and there are plenty of events for the markets and the Dow to digest. A closer look at what is expected will be outlined here a little later this morning, but the main event is the Fed policy announcement, due at 7pm GMT on Wednesday. The Dow Jones is currently priced to reopen around 43,855. So, will it buck the recent trend later today? Well, right now it looks to have a fighting chance
