SAP results help to lift DAX futures this morning

Yesterday the DAX futures were pricing the reopening below 21k at one stage. However in the event it did not open that low, kicking off live trading at 21,201. The subsequent low did hold above that 21k level too, when it based at 21,081. The rebound from there on saw it rise to 21,344, before later closing with a more modest loss of 112 points, at 21,282. Following that close, the DAX futures pushed higher into the US close, at one point suggesting a reopening around 21,435 earlier today. That spike came as the German software giant, SAP surprised the markets with a real beat on their Q4 earnings. Yesterday Siemens Energy was the one losing stock that stood out, with a loss of 19.58% on the day. The share price looks set to rebound this morning. So, the DAX is set to open higher this morning. The current indication on that is at around 21,393
