Santa is on his way it seems as European stocks gain-check out the DAX now

The rise across the major European stock markets is extending right now. That has seen the FTSE 100 push further above 7,500 and the DAX rise towards 16,350. The gains FTSE 100 are being driven by basic resources and minerals and the DAX requires no sector it seems because it looks like Santa Claus is already loading up his sleigh. The US futures are higher to, but as noted here a few times already, that is mostly about the Dow Jones. So, the DAX reopened today at 16,296, after closing yesterday at 16,215. It was noted here earlier, that the German benchmark was going to kick off the new month on the front foot and it is certainly doing just that. The index has just now lifted a bit closer to that current 2023 high, at 16,528. It is currently trading at 16,340
