Rotation into tech sees Nasdaq 100 extend opening gains to above 20,400

Well, as expected the Nasdaq 100 and the tech sector did hold the upper hand into the US opening and in the first 10 minutes of live trading it is extending the opening gains. The index officially reopened today at 20,354 and has pushed above 20,400 since then. At the same time the Dow Jones has reversed lower after opening higher and rising to 42,584. The Dow has since dropped back towards 42,500. Meantime the Nasdaq 100 just hit a session high at 20,437, which means it has come closer again to meeting the record high it set back July 10, at 20,690. The high point seen earlier this week was set at 20,437 and as you can see it has just matched that a moment ago
