Yesterday the price action in the Dow Jones was in stark contrast to that seen in the Nasdaq 100. That rotation was noted here a few times and it was not a new theme, because it has been the divergence between those two indexes that has really highlighted US equity market trading all week. So, the Dow Jones hit a new record yesterday, at 41,221. It later posted a new all time record daily close too, at 41,198. Overnight the Dow Jones futures have ignored losses in Japan and right now the index is priced to reopen at a new record level later today. The current indication on that is for it to reopen at around 41,275, but earlier it was as high as 41,325
