As Q2 gets underway for European stocks can the FTSE 100 finally reclaim 8k?

Similar to the comments just made about the opening outlook for the DAX, the FTSE 100 index is set to reopen slightly higher, from where it closed out March last week. The FTSE 100 last closed on Thursday March 28, at 7,952. The index peaked last week at 7,975 and it is set to kick off the new quarter close to that high this morning. The 8k level remains a key target for the FTSE 100 and the lower Pound and higher oil price now this morning could support a move to test this level today. We shall just have to see on that, but those dynamics are certainly favourable for the outlook today.
