On Friday it was once again the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100 that came out ahead of its peers. It was another session characterised by rotation out the Dow and into the Nasdaq and that helped the S+P 500 hold a modest gain, following the noted technically weak close the night before. So, the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.92%, the S+P 0.25% whilst the Dow Jones closed 0.28% lower. It was another record daily close and of course an all time record weekly close for the Nasdaq 100, at 21,622. That 197 point gain was very close to the new all time high it reached on Friday, at 21,626. It was pretty broad-based too, with names like Tesla, Broadcom, Amazon and Meta featuring in the list of top performers on the day. Overnight the Nasdaq 100 futures have slipped, with Asian markets mostly in the red today. The Nasdaq 100 futures are currently pricing a reopening around 21,600
