Opening gains for US stocks turn sour in first 30 minutes of live trade-check out the S+P 500

The US stock markets have all now fallen back. So, the initial sea of green has now turned to a sea of red. The S+P 500 did test the 6,100 level after opening this afternoon at 6,083. The index traded to 6,101.28, but it has now turned quite sharply lower. Dropping back towards 6,050 in quite a hurry. The reason for this is unclear at this stage, but it did coincide with another slide in the USD/JPY. That fell back towards 151.25 and it seems a degree of risk aversion kicked in across the stock markets too. The USD/JPY is trying to bounce a little now, but as yet that is not the same of the S+P 500, currently trading around 6,058
