NVIDIA still leading the way but the Nasdaq 100 lags
Shares in the hottest tech stock on the planet set further records this afternoon. NVIDIA rose to a high at $1,121.62, which is a new all time high and that gain helped to propel the Nasdaq composite index to above 17k for the first time. However, the Nasdaq 100 is not benefitting as much due to other components not performing so well. The Nasdaq 100 reopened today at 18,855 and so far it has rejected a new all time high, at 18,907. An earlier update here this morning touted the prospect of that potentially happening, but so far it has not materialised. The low seen was set at 18,770, but it is well off that low now, currently trading at 18,816 as NVIDIA drops back from its earlier new record, currently trading around $1,114.75
