NVIDIA leads Nasdaq 100 lower

Yesterday all three major US stock market indexes closed in the red and as noted here, even before the opening, it was negative tech rotation that delivered that from the start, to the end of the session. That said, the Dow Jones later closed lower on the day too, but it was the Nasdaq 100 that led the way, with a 0.84% decline. That ensured the S+P 500 also lost ground, with a 0.61% fall. The Dow Jones handed back 0.54%. So, the Nasdaq 100 losses were led in real terms by NVIDIA. It was not the biggest percentage loser on the day, but because of its market cap it had the most impact. NVIDIA closed 2.55% lower. The Nasdaq 100 fell 181 points, to close at 21,440. Overnight the scene in Asia has been modestly positive, but so far the Chinese markets have not exactly surged following the comments from the authorities there yesterday. Consequently, the Nasdaq 100 futures are a little lower this morning and currently pricing a reopening for later on at around 21,420
