Not quite the opening it had hoped for earlier- Nasdaq 100 slips into the red

As covered in earlier updates, the Nasdaq 100 was set to outshine on the opening today, with the futures prices indicating a resumption of live trading at above 17,950. The index had closed last night at 17,845 and as mentioned it was the weakest of the 3 main indexes on that session. Well, it did manage to open higher this afternoon, despite the downdraught from the higher than expected US PPI data. The Nasdaq 100 reopened at 17,864, but it has since fallen to below the closing level last night. The low seen so far in early trading has been set at 17,826. The Dow Jones is falling back further right now too and that has just now dropped to below 38,600. The DAX has come close to filling that gap to 17,089 a moment ago as well. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading at 17,828
