Not much change on Wall Street last night- Dow Jones unable to hold above 39k

By the time of the close on Wall Street last night here was not much of a change for any of the major US stock markets. Earlier the Dow Jones had briefly reclaimed the 39k handle, when it reached a session high at 39,013. It later closed at 38,892, with a loss of just 11 points on the day. It was a similar story for the S+P 500 and Nasdaq 100, with slightly negative closes there too. Those closes surely had much to do with a degree of trepidation ahead of the US CPI report tomorrow and came despite the slight fall back in US yields at the same time. Overnight the Asian markets are mostly in the green though, led by gains in the Nikkei 225, but so far that has not had much of a positive impact on the US futures today. The Nikkei 225 is being helped higher into the close by a series of dovish comments jusy now from the BOJ governor, Kazuo Ueda. The Dow Jones is currently priced to reopen at around 38,910
