No record high yet for the Nasdaq 100

Yesterday the all time record high set in the Dow Jones was not matched by something similar in the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100. The index did rise earlier in the session, when it set its highest intraday price of 2023, at 16,660. However, it was not able to hold those gains into the close and later ended the session with a small loss, closing at 16,537. That close was 24 points below where the index had closed on Wednesday. The high seen earlier was still shy of the record set on the index, at 16,764 back on November 22, 2021. The Nasdaq 100 is still lagging due to various concerns regarding the outlook for 2024 in the big tech sector. That said, the Nasdaq 100 futures are being dragged higher by the Dow Jones this morning and currently pricing a reopening at around 16,580
