No rebound whatsoever yet for EUR/USD today as key levels loom

In noting the gains for the dollar index (USDX) earlier this morning and the jump above 150 in the USD/JPY, following the BOJ policy shift, perhaps it is of no surprise to see the EUR/USD is under pressure. That pressure is still in place this morning, as the EUR/USD edges to 1.0850 right now. The EUR/USD did top the 1.09 handle yesterday for a while, but as noted, the move lacked impetus and drive and that resulted in a later US close at 1.0872. The Euro has now dropped below its 100 day moving average, in place right now at 1.0864.  The EUR/USD is now trading close to the 50 day moving average, in place at 1.0849. Beyond that comes the 200 day moving average, right now at 1.0840. The EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.0851
