News of US/China meeting sends Gold sharply lower

It was a steady and solid rise for Gold yesterday. The metal lifted from an earlier Asian low at around $3,325, to above $3,425 by the US close. The metal ended the US session at $3,431.77. It was pushing a little higher at the start of the Asian session today. That was until that US/China headline hit the wires. That news sent the metal tumbling and it fell back to $3,360.32 earlier this morning, after topping out at the start of the Asian session, at $3,435.63. Gold is just now edging up from the earlier Asian session lows as the European markets prepare to get underway. Gold is currently trading at $3,386.60
