A new record for NVIDIA helps Nasdaq 100 recover- Futures higher this morning

As earlier noted this morning, all the US equity markets closed higher last night. The Nasdaq 100 was in the middle of those gains, with a rise of 0.29% on the day. The index closed 53 points higher, at 18,654, which was down from a session high, at 18,697. There is little doubt here; that the Nasdaq 100 was helped higher by a fresh record high for NVIDIA (reached $1,166). The drop in US yields also helped the Nasdaq to a higher close. Earlier this morning the Nasdaq 100 futures were pricing the reopening for later today at around 18,715. They are off that high just now, but still elevated relative to the close last night.
