Nasdaq 100 still waiting to fill the gap

On August 2 the Nasdaq 100 gap-opened lower and left an opening gap on the daily charts between 18,667 and the high that day, at 18,628. Well, it almost filled that gap yesterday, when it reached a session high at 18,665. The index later fell back to close at 18,542, with a gain of just 28 points on the day. However, today so far the Nasdaq 100 futures are higher and at one stage were pricing the opening at around 18,720. However, right now that is no longer the case and besides; when it comes to filling a price gap on the charts, it is the cash index price that counts here, not the futures price. So, we shall have to wait for the opening, to see how the price action plays out and whether or not that gap is exactly filled. What might take place thereafter remains to be seen of course. The Nasdaq 100 is currently price to reopen at around 18,650
