Nasdaq 100 still struggling to post another daily close above 16k

On Friday all the major US stock market index posted a higher close on the day. In percentage terms those gains were again led by the Dow Jones. The S+P 500 came next and in third spot came the Nasdaq 100, with a more meagre 0.31% rise on the session. The index did trade as high as 16,013, up from an earlier session low at 15,834. So, of course it did rebound, but that rebound just failed again to set a daily and weekly close above 16k. This level seems to have been a stumbling block on several occasions most recently last week. The Nasdaq closed at 15,997 on Friday. The index futures are lower this morning too and currently pricing the reopening at around 15,930, as momentum seems to wane again this morning. The pullback here in Europe right now is not helping the opening outlook either, as the DAX comes off the boil and the FTSE 100 drops back.
