Earlier this afternoon the Nasdaq 100 did set an opening record, but one that was not quite as high as earlier indicated by the Nasdaq 100 futures. That indication was close to 22,250 at one stage. However, in the event the index actually reopened at 22,176 and then rose, to set a new all time high at 22,191. It has since fallen back to a low at 22,050, set a short while ago. That fall has also denied a new record high for the S+P 500 today, but more on that in another update. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading at 22,115
