Nasdaq 100 slides to close below 15k
Yesterday evening ahead of the Fed decision, I noted the Nasdaq 100 was not making any progress and that the index was seemingly taking no chances with the Fed. Well, those Nasdaq 100 traders were right. The index continued to slide last night, as the US treasury yields gained. Eventually that saw the index fall back to below 15k and close below that level too. The Nasdaq 100 dropped to as low as 14,967 and pretty much closed on the low of the day too, when ending the session 221 points lower, at 14,969. Overnight the Asian markets are a sea of red too, with losses there forcing the Nasdaq 100 futures even lower. The price there is right now suggesting a reopening at close to 14,900 later today. Now that might change, but make no mistake, that was a technically negative close for the index yesterday
