Nasdaq 100 sets a record daily close above 22k

Once again it was the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100 that outperformed on Wall Street yesterday. The index pushed above 22k for the very first time and reached a new record high at 22,133. It later closed 316 points higher, at 22,096. The standout gainers yesterday were once again Broadcom (+11.21%) and Tesla (+6.14%). Positive rotation into tech also saw the Dow Jones fail to snap a 7 day losing streak and make that now an eight day losing run. There will be more to add on that later this morning. Overnight the Asian markets are mixed and European futures are slightly lower. Against that backdrop the Nasdaq 100 futures are right now little changed in terms of the opening call for the index later today.
